Our Model Village
63.37% of our population lives in rural areas (Census 2011). Though the number is expected to fall in the coming years, it is still estimated that more than half of our population would be rural even in 2050. Despite there being several past initiatives by governments at all levels – Central, State and Local – in the past, the level of improvement has not kept pace with the rising aspirations among Bangladeshis. The model village tends to address and minimize all those problems existing in society by taking some initiatives and interventions in terms of fulfilling some of the SDG goals. The model village aims to create a school-based development program by which it will create very strong skill-based knowledge among the students from the very beginning of their childhood in order to contribute to our economy. In addition, the rest of the family members of the child would be self-sufficient through various training and awareness training so that they can play a positive role in the economy of this country.
